Kali Arulpragasam , a London born Sri lankan is a Central St.Martin's grad . Her latest line of jewelry titled, Terrorism affects Tourism is an attempt to remind us of the underlying beauty of countries that have been marred by violence. And yes , she is M.I.A's sister.
ach, what I would give for a piece of jewelllery from her! Esp. the earrings! I remember there was a girl on Facehunter with one of her necklaces - such amazing stuff.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, not a huge fan of the jewellery, but interesting that her sister is also creatively fueled by Sri Lanka's political turmoil.

ReplyDeletehmmm....this is very interesting indeed. I can't say I'm a big fan of MIA's music but i definitely like some of the jewellery here, esp the earrings. As a Sri Lankan I have mixed feelings about MIA's work but her sis is showing great talent and promise. It's an interesting subject and one that needs all the attention is can get.
