The incredible Anvita Jain is from Delhi . She is currently pursuing an MFA in Graphic Design at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Michigan, USA. Her colourful chaos interlaced with stark , graphic piranhas, parrots with penile tails and phallic fish is all very interesting to me. So are ducks who's bodies are filled with gray matter.

This artwork is really different. It catches your eye and makes you want to stare! Its a little disturbing to me, but it catches the eye!
ReplyDeleteI totally love the bright, popping colors they used in the pieces above. The patterns as well are very catching.
ReplyDeleteI agree, when asian art comes to my mind, i think water color paintings and calligraphy, this art really throws me for a loop. The art really does catch the viewers eye and imagination
ReplyDeleteI cannot say enough about the incredible use of colors and shapes in the first few pieces, especially the second. I could spend hours (if I had the time) looking, in detail, at this piece of art. It must have taken a very long time to complete. Kudos!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant.
ReplyDeleteNice creativity. I can see refreshing combination of colors and design in your creations. Where can I get to see these designs? Pls. let me know shops thats display your creations in Delhi.
ReplyDeleteHave you had a chance to display your creations at the Largest online private fashion shop?
I love all the phallic fish and phallic totems.
ReplyDeleteNice work. Especially liked the one with the parrot!

This art work is really different and good.Designs and color combinations also great in this art.
ReplyDeleteThe effect of eye created in first pic and second last pic from top are just out of world.Anvita Jain has really bright future- no doubt about that.
ReplyDeleteInteresting art... Love the patterns and the unique style.
ReplyDeleteNice Designs
ReplyDeleteNice blog. Giving great ideas for beginners. I have to catch up with your tips as there are plenty of them. Following through...Tokyo Milk
ReplyDeleteThis artwork captured my attention.. the design is great and wonderful artwork.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the detail in some of the pieces. They were very elaborate and you can tell that the artist put a lot of time in to each piece. It is a nice combination of East meets West.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the ambiguity of all these pieces, the vibrant colors and estreme attention to details. I also really like how the first four pieces don't have a focal point which keeps my eyes continuously moving.

The artwork is definitely unique and inspirational. Most of the art is colorful and definitely catches the eye.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy this art and not because I am a nymphomaniac or anything. They remind me of tribal fertility artwork with all the penile subject matter. The the third picture from the top reminds me of demonic Egyptian art and sacrifice as there appears to be people falling into a pit of flames. They also remind me of the Disney artwork in the way that the animators hid sexual imagery in the artwork such as the penis on the castle in the Little Mermaid. Though inappropriate in material made for children in this context It is very intriguing because sexual symbols are something that catches everybody's interest at a instinctive level.
ReplyDeleteThis artwork is fascinating and the bright popping colors captivate the viewer’s attention. I could spend hours staring at the intricate details within the composition. The art is symbolic and in some ways erotic yet disturbing (ie: parrot with penile tail about to be consumed by the pirahana and penile shaped fish spewing blood). The artist steers away from realism by creating a sort of fantasy world.
ReplyDeleteThe second one is amazing!

ReplyDeleteHI
ReplyDeleteYou have really good art keep it up.
Love the intricate work!
ReplyDeleteThis art is fantastic. It’s bright, colorful and eye-catching! The second piece in particular has some good contrasts with the intricate black-and-white designs and the bold colors. It’s a little whimsical.
ReplyDeleteSomeone above mentioned it being different than what one thinks of when they think of Asian art, and I have to agree a bit. But this is great to show that we can't just generalize when it comes to art styles.
Nice
ReplyDeletelook closely this all makes sense.. her artwork is all about male and women genitals. but beautifully executed.
