Bhajju Shyam for Tara Books

Lush tribal interpretations of The Little Mermaid, by Gond Artist Bhajju Shyam. I love the updated retelling of this fairytale classic. From their website, "The Flight of the Mermaid is a feminist parable on the warring claims of love and choice." Buy the book here.

Also please buy Bhajju Shyam's "The London Jungle book" by Tara. A wonderful perspective on the city through the eyes of an amazing artist.
See London as you have never seen it before!!

Amazing, and also very different from the usual Gond paintings that I've seen in the past. Wish I could own one of these :)
