Dhruvi Archarya is back , this time with an airless world inhabited by mutant people scavenging , hunting and gathering in what can only be called dystopia. A queasy , darker fantasy takes flight mirroring Acharya's own Asthma attacks and her fathers pulmonary afflictions. Her exhibition titled One Life on Earth is on till the end of the month at Chemould Prescott Road Gallery.

these are delightful despite the uncomfortable overtones of a dark story...I absolutely love the muted colours and the patterns she has used. Thank you for this!

ReplyDeleteYou are welcome!
I always love to see what Dhruvi Acharya does next and she almost never disappoints. Her next exhibition is in October, should be interesting to see what new pieces she adds to the Environmental theme , if any.
