Nimit Malavia





Nimit Malavia, born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, has been working towards earning his BAA in Illustration at Sheridan College , Canada. Nimit has always had an interest in art and draws inspiration from the world around him, as well as his own personal history. His work combines Graphic elements reminiscent of Art Nouveau and urban graffiti, as well as traditional drawing and painting.More of Nimit's creative genius here.

  1. my thoughts on this artist and the post below were both immediately 'oh my god!' wow.... I love this mix of fairytale and contemporary experience.... Fairytales, when I was a kid, always had an odd mix of fantasy and fear, sadness and excitement... there's always the potential of terrible cruelty in those old stories which felt very odd as a kid (nowadays, kids' stories, tv shows etc are diluted beyond belief....) and these images evoke that perfectly. wow. really amazing.

    also you have the joy of being tagged!

  2. I completely agree with how kids literature is so diluted these days because I actually think children are drawn to the darkness that can exist in fairy tales .
