These are images from New York based Mixed Media artist Swati Khurana's 'carousel' book titled Five Day Wedding. The book illustrates experiences from the artists own Malabar wedding .Her work explores personal narratives and immigrant issues with a focus on gender, popular culture, and the seductive promises made by rituals.
oh I love these. The contour drawings are right up my alley and the concepts/contexts create such great narratives.

Vindy, yup it's a pop up book, check her site , she's got some great work. I like her style - it's interesting in the way of lacking a certain finished quality.
