From her Website :
Dhruvi Acharya's work is informed by her experiences, emotions and observartions of a life divided between New York and Mumbai (Bombay). Influenced artistically by Indian miniature paintings and contemporary comic books, the artist uses personal, pop-culture and ancient metaphors and symbolism to create the allegorical, narrative paintings.
this beautiful! i'm so taken up by her earthy colour schemes.
ReplyDeleteooops i left out the is!
ReplyDeleteLove her style and her sense of colour. I've seen her featured everywhere, but cant have enough! Infact the pics you've featured here have the most sober colour scheme- the colours I've seen in her work are acqua blue, fuscia, orange, ochre and the like.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love her style & yes, I featured her on 'Rang Decor' a while ago:-)
